Mitel Announce Callview 'End-of-Life'

Mitel recently announced end-of-life of the Callview MIS application to be replaced by the CSM (Customer Services Manager) product.

The time lines for this are:

The last time to buy Callview: 1st October 2010
End-of-Life for Callview: 31st December 2010
End of Development: 31st December 2011
Mitel technical support ends: 31st December 2017

CSM, the replacement product will happily run on the Axxess, the CS 5000, and the Mitel 3300 and is being further developed to work in a multi-controller 3300 deployment, something already available on the Axxess and CS 5000.

The cost to upgrade from Callview to CSM is only £850,

Mark Hallam from Swinton Insurance wins the Armstrong Open

Due to the ash cloud affecting flights out of Manchester, the Armstrong Challenge had to be hastily rearranged from the rain in Spain to the sun in Cheshire, so it was on with the caps, and down with the brollys for a change!

Ofcom to tackle repeat silent calls

Ofcom has announced a series of measures to take action against silent calls and published the outcome of a related investigation into seven companies.

Silent calls occur when automated calling systems used by call centres for telemarketing, market research, debt collection and other purposes, generate more calls than the available call centre agents can deal with. When the person dialled answers the telephone, there is no agent available, resulting in silence on the line. These abandoned calls can cause significant anxiety and annoyance.
