Mark Hallam from Swinton Insurance wins the Armstrong Open
Due to the ash cloud affecting flights out of Manchester, the Armstrong Challenge had to be hastily rearranged from the rain in Spain to the sun in Cheshire, so it was on with the caps, and down with the brollys for a change!
The competition was a hard fought one but Mark Hallam’s extensive supply of Alka Seltzer, combined with his knowledge of British conditions and his undoubted golfing skills won him the big prize !
Jez Lamb was on hand to do the honours and present Mark with his gleaming trophy which now takes pride of place in his trophy cabinet next to his Claret Jug – a nice bottle of Red !
